Letter From Our Director of Academics

Dear Parent,

As a ResponsiveEd® public online charter school in partnership with K12, Texas Virtual Academy (TXVA) makes it easy for you to be an active participant in your child’s education. You receive a complete curriculum, lesson planning programs, educational books and instructional materials, and access to all lessons and plans, at no cost to you—in short, the educational materials your child needs for an excellent education.

TXVA uses the outstanding curriculum from K12 to serve students in grades 9–12 across Texas. Using this innovative learning program, TXVA provides an education that meets or exceeds state standards, and students demonstrate their knowledge and skills through state standardized tests. All our teachers are highly skilled, Texas-certified teachers who provide instructional support to our students in a variety of settings, including whole class online sessions and small group online sessions. Students who need additional supports are required to attend small group sessions to ensure that we are closing academic gaps and setting our students up for academic success.

But TXVA is not only about lessons. Teachers also organize school outings to museums, roller- and ice-skating rinks, local zoos, and other interesting and enjoyable sites. These events bring families together and create real connections within the TXVA community.

Not only are we proud of our school, we also believe that it’s a profoundly good choice for families who are interested in getting actively involved in their children’s education. We hope to welcome you soon to the TXVA and ResponsiveEd community.

Best regards,

Amanda Rollert
